Do you sometimes find yourself being your own worst critic? When you look in the mirror, do you only see the negative? My next Suburban Warrior, Amy Wilhelm, felt the same way.

Episode #55: Your Effort Matters - How to Approach Life with a Growth Mindset | Interview with Kristy & Danielle

Do you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset? We have all dealt with imposter syndrome and perfectionism at some points in our lives. In this episode, we are discussing the importance of mindset and that we are the ones that control the outcome of our lives.

Danielle McCombs and Kristy Olinger are college friends that always gravitated to each other on their girls’ trips to discuss podcasts and books they were interested in. Episode #52: Don’t Overthink Your Way To Success | Interview With Jewelry Designer and Entrepreneur Lisi Lerch

Hey there, Warriors! Have you ever had an idea that kept nagging at you? It could be the universe’s way of telling you something. That’s what happened to my next guest. Lisi Lerch started her company in the Spring of 2001 while working full-time in the recruiting office at Cornell University. Her brand initially offered classic Kentucky Derby hats that she was inspired to create due to the lack of affordable women’s hats she saw in the marketplace. A few years later, she decided to test the waters and dabble in jewelry-making, which became an instant obsession.

Lisi’s advice to entrepreneurs is to not think too much into it and just do it. Life is too short so dive in and take on each problem as they come. Plan A most likely won’t work out so it’s best to always have a Plan B, Plan C, and so on.

Listen in to our fun conversation to hear about the celebrity bridal shower Lisi and her team attended and created personalized hats for. So much fun!

Episode #47: The Many Benefits of Intermittent Fasting | Interview with Laurie Lewis

IG FB Feed image.png

Welcome back, Warriors. We all want to look and feel our best but it’s a struggle sometimes, especially when we hit 40 and the years leading up to menopause. In this episode, my guest and I are discussing the many benefits of intermittent fasting as a way to help. Laurie Lewis is an intermittent fasting coach and author, who while going through menopause dealt with brain fog, lack of balance, memory loss, and the sudden gain of 50 pounds of stubborn hormonal fat. She tried everything she knew to feel better, and the methods that worked in the past made no difference. After four years of struggle, Laurie stumbled upon Intermittent Fasting and started fasting that very same day. The menopausal fog lifted in less than one week, she had more energy and felt more “like herself.” She lost 51 pounds in 15 months and has kept it off for years!

Now, at 57-years old, Laurie has turned her personal success into the premier thriving Intermittent Fasting coaching business. As a certified health coach (Institute for Integrative Nutrition) she combines her knowledge of nutrition with deep research and practice of Time Restricted Eating. Laurie guides her clients with a dream come true -- eat the foods you love and enjoy the rest of your life feeling vibrantly well.

Episode #45: Love Heals All - Body, Mind, & Spirit | Interview with Deepa Mehta

IG FB Feed image.png

Hey there, Warriors! Welcome back to another episode of the Suburban Warrior podcast. I am excited to dive into today’s conversation with another amazing Suburban Warrior, coming to us all the way from Malibu, California. I really enjoyed this conversation with Deepa Mehta, where we discussed one of my favorite topics, the healing arts. While we all do different things, our mission is very much the same, which is to empower others to live their best lives, really understand and nourish ourselves, and know we all have this infinite potential inside of us.

Growing up in a household that fused scientific, natural, and spiritual knowledge, at a young age Deepa developed a love of using this knowledge to help others. Her mission is to be a continual student of the healing arts in order to better help treat and nourish the body, mind, and the spirit as one and to support others in their healing journeys.

Deepa uses her knowledge, intuition, and training of energy (reiki), food, nutrition, yoga, movement, meditation, and various other modalities to assist others in working through physical, emotional, or any other types of blocks/issues. Over the years, her tool belt has grown, and so has her love of nourishing and nurturing others. Her passion is to help people achieve their greatest expression of self, attain optimal health, and feel nourished- mind, body, and soul.

To learn more about Deepa and her offerings you can visit her website www.lovedeepa.com, connect with her on Instagram @lovedeepa, and find her YouTube channel at OmMade Kitchen

Welcome back, Warriors! I am really excited about my next guest, Sexology and Relationship Expert, Naketa Ren Thigpen. Naketa is a licensed clinical social worker who broke barriers and glass ceilings nearly ten years ago when she architected her professional skill set as a Psychotherapist, Trauma Specialist, Sexology and Relationship expert with strategically infused tenets of breakthrough success coaching to raise the bar and create ripples inside the personal development industry. Now regarded as the #1 Balance & Relationship Advisor in the World, Naketa has become the go-to for fast-scaling married women entrepreneurs and power couples seeking to balance love and success without dimming or apologizing for their spirited ambition.

Take a listen while Naketa and I discuss what it takes to create a work/life (and LOVE) balance, how to make space for what you want when you feel you are at capacity, and the power of boundaries in life and business. Learn more about Naketa by visiting her website at www.thigpro.com and connecting with her on all the social media platforms.
