Crissy Pyfer

Hi, I’m Crissy. I’m a performance coach, motivational speaker, Vice President with Ever and a mom of 4 kids whose mission is to find more “joy in the journey” by living out my personal WHY each and every day—and to help others do the same.

“Enthusiastic!”  That’s the one word my 6th grade teacher wrote on a sticker to describe me and today, at 44 years of age, it still fits! I’m a serial optimist who has always envisioned making an impact on the world by living my dreams.  I’m thrilled to say that is exactly what I’m doing, but life hasn’t always felt that way.

At 20 years old, my life changed in an instant.  My mom died.  She was my rock, my best friend, my guide post in life. The belief that I was invincible was shattered. The unthinkable happened to me and I was left to live the rest of my life without her. My enthusiasm for life faltered. I stumbled. I made mistakes. I was lost. And then I slowly began to move forward. I went on to graduate from college and embarked on a career path that brought me success in many different areas right from the start. I worked as an operating room nurse at one of the most prestigious hospital in the US and then in medical device and pharmaceutical sales. I moved up the corporate ladder in marketing and sales where I successfully developed brands and led teams. I enjoyed great financial success and all of it looked so great on paper, but inside I was miserable, sick, and headed down a path of physical illness, depression, and anxiety, all while trying to be a supportive wife and caring mother to 4 little kids.

Just when it felt like rock bottom for me, my husband also made a decision to change his career path.  I finally said to myself, after years of stress and unexplained illness, “I’m done. I’m a physical wreck, emotionally empty and unfulfilled. I don’t want to do this anymore.” So, at the same time my husband left his very stable career to start a new one, I left my career to pursue my passion and fulfill my dreams of inspiring and motivating others. Yeah, not great timing, I know! But there we were. Neither of us had a strong income, but we sure still had lots of responsibilities and some potentially grim financial realities in front of us.

So, how did I do it? How was I able to get through the trauma of losing my mom and then leave a successful career at such a vulnerable and scary time? It was my mindset and a desire to live out my WHY.  I believe that anything is possible in life if you are willing to think differently—to shift your perspective by recognizing your limiting beliefs and making a decision to change.  Ultimately, only you have the power to change things for yourself.  Yes, change can be scary. But change can also be growth. The first step is recognizing it’s all up to you and that you have the ability to harness the power of your perspective to change your thinking—and your life.

Your dreams matter. And only you can give yourself the power to learn the wisdom, tools and strategies to build yourself into the person you are meant to be. We are all given this one precious life and the opportunity to live it to the fullest. I’m here to show you how.

“Totally inspirational & relatable.”

WHY

Your own personal WHY is what I describe simply as WHAT HONORS YOU? Your WHY is your power. It is your purpose. It is your reason for being. It is what drives you on a daily basis. Once you discover your WHY, you can endure any “how”. It’s the first step to achieving your goals and living a life where you are thriving versus merely just surviving!
